ABOUT THE ADITYA BIRLA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
The Group is pursuing Mr. Aditya Vikram Birla’s vision of developing leaders with a passion for excellence through the Aditya Birla Scholarship Program. achieved through cultivating exceptional academic brilliance and compassionate leadership characteristics in collaboration with a few IITs, BITS (Pilani), IIMs, XLRI, FMS, and law campuses.
The Aditya Birla Scholarships, which were established in 1999, give Scholars a great chance to network with the nation’s first truly international corporation. Although joining the Group after they finish their degree is not required.
Should they meet the requirements, researchers are welcome to collaborate with us.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE Aditya Birla scholarship program?
Students may apply for scholarships from the following colleges:
Delhi’s Faculty of Management Studies (FMS)
LAW:
- Bangalore-based National Law School of India University
- Hyderabad’s NALSAR University of Law
- The Kolkata campus of the WB National University of Judicial Sciences
- Jodhpur’s National Law University
- Gujarat National Law School
The Head of the relevant Institutes will invite the top 20 candidates (based on their entrance exam score at the time of enrollment) to apply.

Students who qualify must complete the application form attached and submit it to the Dean.
SELECTION METHOD
The following procedure is required for the Scholarships:
The information provided in the application form will be used to evaluate the applicants, who include 180 candidates from the IIMs and XLRI, 160 candidates from the IITs and BITS (Pilani), and 100 students from law colleges.
To determine who advances to the next stage, the student’s overall achievements—which include both academic and extracurricular excellence—will be evaluated.
These pupils’ essays will then be evaluated by a panel to narrow down the field of applicants for the next stage.
The top 16 students from engineering, business, and law, together with 8 other students, will be chosen for an interview to decide the Aditya Birla Scholars.
An esteemed panel of scholars and notables will conduct the interviews. Students who have been shortlisted should bring all necessary documentation, including copies of their diplomas and transcripts.
The selected candidates will be given lodging, transport reimbursement, and a token allowance for the interviews, which will take place in Mumbai.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Scholars’ performance will be rigorously examined each year to determine whether to continue the Scholarship.
The IIM, XLRI, IIT, BITS (Pilani), FMS, and law campuses’ deans and directors have agreed to manage the funds. A check for the scholarship amount will be delivered right to their office. Subject to continued success, the Scholarships are good for the whole course. The Institute will return the amount paid because the Scholarship is only announced in September and students would’ve already paid their tuition.
The performance standards for determining whether to renew the scholarship
The Aditya Birla Scholar’s excellence in academics and leadership will be judged using qualitative and quantitative criteria. This evaluation will be used to decide whether the scholarship award and the honor of remaining “The Aditya Birla Scholar” will continue.
Until the course is through, an annual assessment will be conducted.
The evaluation standards are:
- Evaluation of whether or not specific academic standards are met
- To be in the top 25% of your batch’s population
- Evaluation of the Scholar’s work produced throughout the program
- At a minimum, 60% of the tasks must receive 7 out of 9 possible.
- Evaluation of involvement in at least two campus forums
- Assessment of the Scholar’s Learnings
- An essay of 250 words on “Being an Aditya Birla Scholar – experience sharing”
The Scholar must provide this information for the performance measurement, and the academic head at the institute must certify it. The evaluation will be based on the total effectiveness across all domains. There won’t be a single major determinant.
