For the academic year 2022, Boston University in the US is accepting applications for Trustee Scholarships. Students who stay overseas are welcome to apply for this program. The scholarship is for undergraduate study in any of the All Subjects programs at Boston University. Interested candidates may apply for the scholarship as of the deadline. The window for submissions is open.

Each year, BU invites roughly 20 extraordinary students into the Trustee Scholars Program. Many of the Scholars we now have were top students in their high school classrooms and kept perfect 4.0 GPAs.
Trustee Scholars demonstrate intellectual curiosity, inventiveness, and a variety of uncommon viewpoints, experiences, or accomplishments in addition to possessing exceptional academic credentials. In other words, in addition to being great students, they are exceptionally well-rounded individuals. At BU, Trustee Scholars become a part of a special campus community that offers a wide range of academic, cultural, and social opportunities.
A four-year renewable award known as a Trustee Scholarship covers both the full undergraduate tuition and the necessary undergraduate student fees.

Qualifying Criteria
• To be eligible for a Trustee Scholarship, you must submit your Common Application and all other required paperwork by December 1 in order to be admitted to one of BU’s undergraduate degree programs.
• Complete the Trustee Scholarship essay on the Common Application as part of your application to BU.
Essay for the Trustee Scholarship: Please choose one of the two questions below, and as part of your Common Application, submit one essay with no more than 600 words.
1. Howard Thurman, who served as Marsh Chapel’s dean from 1953 to 1965 at Boston University, famously said: “Don’t ask what the world needs. Discover what makes you alive, then do that. The world needs people who have rediscovered their humanity. Could you mention a specific experience or action that you undertook that made you feel alive? What original methods might you think of to include that occasion or activity in your time at BU?
2. Describe a situation in which you felt left out or uncomfortable. How did you respond to that circumstance, and how has that affected how you are currently doing?
