Google’s Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI)
Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) is a scholarship program by Google
Where the participants will begin the program with three weeks introduction to computer science for high school senior students who are passionate about technology.
The students will receive intensive, interactive, and fun that will inspire them to become future tech leader and innovator.
CSSI participants will have the first-hand experience to learn from Google engineers,
And also to take a look at google most exciting technologies, and even develop your own apps that you will showcase at google local offices.
As the part of the program, Google also awarded selected students to receive a one-time $10,000 academic scholarship for those who study in the US or 5,000 CAD for those who are studying in Canada.
CSSI Google Scholarship Eligibility and Requirements
The candidates must be
- a senior high school student at the time of application,
- have the intention to be enrolled in a full-time bachelor program at the US or Canada University, h
- have the intention to be enrolled in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or related area of the department,
- demonstrate high motivation and be passionate in studying computer science,
- and able to attend everyday CSSI program.
The application must be submitted online, which include:
- Updated resume in pdf form
- A high school transcript records
- SAT or ACT scores (if applicable)
- Response to multiple short answer question, which each response should no more than 200 words.
The CSSI scholarship also eligible to the international and African students
as long as they have the intention to study in the US or Canada, there is no age restriction limit nor any prior experience with computer science required
Also as long as the candidate demonstrate high interest and enthusiasm they welcome to apply, and especially for the students who are underrepresented in technology are encouraged to apply.

Women Techmakers Google Scholarship Program
Women Techmakers Google Scholarship program previously known as the Google Anita Borg Memorial scholarship program
is a scholarship program to honor Dr. Anita Borg legacy in her efforts to empower more women to take part in computing and technology and promote gender equality in the computer science discipline.
The program has been designed for women to get more involved in technology by building an online network for scholars recipients
that will also enable them to share resources, continue supports the global community of women and collaborate with others to continue making the impact.
The program also provides the opportunity to connect with fellow scholar and google mentors, while doing the program.
The requirements and eligibility
North America
The selected scholar will receive $10,000 awards for those who study in the US and 5,000 CAD for the students who study in Canada.
The scholarship is open to qualified students and highly encourage women applicants to apply for the scholarship program.
The applicants must have a
- high school degree or equivalent to apply,
- currently enrolled at college or university by the time of application or
- have the intention to be enrolled or accepted in full-time bachelor, master, or Ph.D. program at college or university in the US or Canada,
- will study computer science, computer engineering or that in related field, demonstrate good leadership capability and strong academic records.
The applications that needed to be prepared are the following;

- General information such as contact information and current college or university information
- Current or prior (if applicable) academic transcript records
- One reference letter from professor or supervisor
- Response to five essay questions
Europe, Middle-East, and Africa
The selected applicants will receive worth 7,000 EUR (or regional equivalent) stipend.
The scholarship is open to qualified students and highly encourage women applicants to apply for the scholarship program.
The applicants must currently be enrolled at
- an accredited college or university by the time of application or
- have the intention to be enrolled or accepted in full-time bachelor, master, or Ph.D. program at an accredited college or university,
- will study computer science, computer engineering or that in related field,
- demonstrate good leadership capability and strong academic records.
The applications that needed to be prepared are the following;

Asia Pacific
The selected applicants will receive cash awards from the scholarship program and will be selected from a group of female students
and the awards will be awarded based on the candidate ability in leadership, academic,and impact on diversity,

- enrolled at an accredited college or university,
- studying computer science, computer engineering or that in the related field,
- demonstrate good leadership capability and strong academic records.
- All graduating female students also welcome to apply.
