The Blades of Green Scholarship Program, a performance scholarship fund for people pursuing undergraduate or graduate-level study in environmental studies or allied subjects, has been launched by Blades of Green.
High-achieving students who are eager to develop their potential in environmental science will be awarded a $1,000 stipend.
THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND FOR BLADES OF GREEN
The Maryland company Blades of Green was established in 1989, not far from Annapolis. They have always focused on using environmentally friendly and organic lawn care methods and products. Blades of Green places a high value on protecting the environment and our water resources because we are locals to Maryland. Focusing on environmental education is the first step in advancing environmental science, botanical sciences, earth studies, green tech, and related subjects.
For those looking to pursue undergraduate or graduate-level study in environmental studies or allied subjects, Blades of Green has established a merit-based scholarship fund. A $1,000 scholarship has been established by Mark and Brad Leahy for the 2022 academic year. Academic excellence, a desire to pursue more environmental education coursework at an approved college or institution, and a strong academic record will all be taken into consideration when awarding the scholarship.
The scholarship will be awarded to the successful applicant directly and will cover tuition and board for the upcoming fall semester for a period of one year.
Application Method
1. Fill out the application for high school or the application for college, and mail it along with your letter of intent.
2. Notice of Intent: 350 to 500 words detailing the career route you intend to pursue after graduation, your enthusiasm for your chosen field, and what motivated you to do so.
3. Present the applicant’s transcript from the institution where they are presently enrolled. In addition to the personal letter of intent indicated above, submit one letter of reference (which may take the form of a faculty recommendation letter or another type of professional recommendation letter).
