This prize is given to a senior in a U.S. high school who can call ducks and is willing to compete in the Stuttgart, Arkansas, Chick and Sophie Major Memorial Duck Calling Contest.
The contest was started in 1974 with a single $500 scholarship awarded to the winner in remembrance of Stuttgart’s famed champion duck callers and duck call makers, Chick, and Sophie Major.
Numerous methods have been used throughout the years to earn money for the scholarships, including raffles, fish fries, hamburgers BBQs, skeet and shooting clays, gifts, and memorial services.

A scholarship worth $2,000 will be given to the winner. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the first runner-up, a $750 scholarship to the second runner-up, and a $500 scholarship to the third runner-up.
All prizes are given out once a year and cannot be renewed. This scholarship will be worth a total of $4,250.
ELIGIBILITY
Students must be graduating seniors in high school and enter the Stuttgart, Arkansas-based competition each year.
